How Big Chief's Got Started
Big Chief’s AC & Heat started the way a lot of good businesses do: with two guys who saw a better way to do things. Garrett got his start in commercial refrigeration, working jobs and finishing school at the same time. That’s where he met Anthony, and the two of them quickly realized they made a good team.
In 2001, Garrett and Anthony decided to bet on themselves. They combined what they’d learned, pooled their resources, got licensed, and opened the doors to Big Chief’s AC & Heat. From day one, the goal was simple: do the work right, treat people fairly, and build something the River Parishes could rely on.
By 2009, that bet had paid off enough to build a permanent home base, the shop we still work out of today. More than two decades later, Big Chief’s is still family-owned, still locally operated, and still run by the same values Garrett and Anthony started with.
